"After the dazzle of day is gone,
Only the dark, dark night shows to my eyes the stars;
After the clangor of organ majestic, or chorus, or perfect band,
Silent, athwart my soul, moves the symphony true."

wohoo, thank you for the first role in (and totally PL ok by the way).

Pyrrhus is a great tragic character, unhappily loving the woman that doesn't love him back. Torn between love and hatred, duty and compassion. You managed to characterize all this excellently in your performance, so: well done

This is a promising start to the play. :9:

an excellent beginning for this character, thank you, Alan. Pylades has quite a serenity about him, which speaks to me. It also fits the grandiose speeches of Racine (well, here in translation, but the translator did a good job).

PL ok, definitely.

Here's my recording of the stage directions for Act 2:

This is my first time reading stage directions, so I would be grateful for any constructive criticism you might provide! Please let me know if there is anything I missed or if you would prefer the names pronounced differently.

When I do my recording for Act 1, should I read the introduction?

Yes, please read the introduction in the Act 1 recording. Also read the cast list with the words for each character, followed by "read by ____" in case any of the other readers forget to record their voice credit. (If they do do the credit, I will overwrite what you do with theirs.) And make sure you do a voice credit for "Stage Directions, read by ____"

Thanks, Todd

thank you for the fast turn-around. As soon as the stage directions are in, Todd can start editing it all.

The names are as I would expect them as well, but as long as you are consistent in your pronunciation, you have the choice on how to pronounce them. So no problems there.

I have a few small notes to edit though:

> at 0:22: (p. 138) could you repeat "Act 2" once more before "Scene 1" please ?

> at 0:41: (p. 145) after "scene 3" maybe also say the name of the one character that is in there, "Orestes"

> at 0:54: (p. 146) "Orestes, aside" – there is this rule of thumb that if the stage directions are at the beginning of the speech, the narrator has to read the name of the character as well. If they are inside or at the end of a speech, we already know who is talking, so the name is not mentioned

The rest is perfect. Thank you

here is another great tragic heroine of Racine's. :9: I simply love the emotions of Andromache, the hatred towards Pyrrhus, the love to her son, the conflict she feels she is in. Hope I could convey it all.
