    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62135
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hello there,

Is there any possibility for me to be able to do this as a solo project? Not sure how to claim it as such.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you :)

Hi, Blake!
Well, I set this up as a group project before I saw this note.
I would suggest recording a couple of chapters here, although I know you have done some in another project.
And/or if you want to try some proof listening, I'm looking for a DPL.

Now, there is another book in this series that I have waiting to launch.
If you think you're ready to do a solo, sent me a PM (private message) and I'll give you some guidance in setting it, or something else, as a solo.

Thanks Larry :)

In this case please could I claim sections 1 and 2 from the current project.

I have sent you a PM re: Solo project (I am interested) as well as what a DPL is involved in.

Thanks again.

Reviewing the earlier notes, I see that you have set this book up as a group project, so please ignore my request to do Chapters 3 through 12.

I enjoy recording childrens books, preferably as a solo project. If you know of any that I could do, please let me know. Thank You.

Ah, I thought that might be the case.

Well there is at least one other book in this series that recently popped up on Gutenberg that hasn't been recorded yet. Blake, who has the first two chapters, is also interested in doing a solo, so here is the link and it is up for grabs: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62020

I'll be glad to help either one of you if needed. Plenty to go around. :D

Oh Dear,

I just left Chunky in the ocean trying to swim to shore. I've got to find out what happens to him. Can I please have the following chapter as well. If is

Chapter 10, Chunky in the Circus.

THanks,

M
