Welcome to LibriVox and thanks for volunteering!combacostanza wrote: ↑June 28th, 2020, 7:27 am I would like to read Chapter XI. The Catholic Kings by H. Butler Clarcke (part 1), section 35
Since this looks like the first time you'll be assigned a section, please let me know under what name (real or nickname) you would like to be credited in the catalog. We can also include a link to your personal website or blog, if you have one.
We strongly encourage new readers to start with a 1-Minute Test. Its purpose is to ensure that your recording software is configured in accordance with LibriVox technical standards, so that you get a chance to adjust its configuration before you record your first contribution. Please follow the instructions on this wiki page:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
If you post your upload link in this thread, I can check it for you.
In the meantime, I'll pencil in your claim in the Notes column of the Magic Window.

Section 13 PL notes: Repeat at 15:02 ("and di . . . diverted them")
Section 14 is PL OK.
Section 20 PL notes: The reading is wonderful! Just one technical issue... The bit rate of the file is ~102 kbps variable and should be 128 kbps constant. To fix the bit rate, watch this video or follow the following instructions:
1. Go to File / Export Audio
2. Open Options in the lower right corner
3. Select the following settings: Bit Rate Mode: Constant / Quality 128 kbps
4. Press OK
N.B. There is no need to adjust the file format each time you save a recording as these settings will persist.
