Desafortunadamente, no podemos usar este PDF porque no tiene suficiente información para establecer si es de dominio público según los estándares de LibriVox. Podemos usar un PDF de un libro solo si su página de título indica que fue publicado antes de 1924. También podemos usar textos del sitio Project Gutenberg y textos disponibles en el modo de vista completa (Full View) en el sitio HathiTrust. Aquí hay una edición que podemos usar:

I have only one note for the intro disclaimer: for such short texts we can use the shortened intro version (see first post): "[Work title], by [author], read in [language] for LibriVox.org by [your name]". Of course you can say it in German too. Then at the end you should add "This recording is in the public domain" (or German: diese Aufnahme ist in der Public Domain), since you don't say it at the beginning.

Por lo general, recomendamos que los nuevos lectores comiencen leyendo algunas secciones para proyectos de colaboración. Veo que una colega está trabajando contigo en tu prueba de un minuto. Después de obtener una aprobación en tu prueba, puedes leer algunas fábulas para esta colección (quizás 2 o 3), una por una. Esto te dará una idea de cuánto tiempo lleva grabar y editar una lectura. Después de eso, si deseas grabar más fábulas, puedes comenzar un proyecto en solitario y puedes decidir cuántas fábulas deseas que contenga y si quieres colocar cada fábula en su propia sección o agruparlas. Debo advertirte que si deseas incluir la misma fábula en esta colección y en tu propio proyecto, tendrás que grabarla por segunda vez, porque no podemos incluir la misma lectura en dos proyectos.

hey Lauren, so cool that you did your first recording in this project. It's been a while since I last PLed any Romanian.

Your reading is very nice, not too fast-paced for me to follow, and you have a mystical aura in your voice, very fitting for the poem.

There are a few edits I would suggest though. Mostly trimming of over-long silences, so nothing difficult. Don't re-record anything, it's easy to edit your file.

The total time of the poem is 1:38.
At the end when I say "Aceasta inregistrare este in domeniul public" , the audio was very tight and I did the best I could. I think it cuts a little but not too much.

I certainly prefer just words, since that is what Librivox is all about. But so long as the original score is provably PD, the use of music is allowed. It does not matter if you sing the notes, play the notes, or program something to play them for you. However, you can NOT use anything recorded by anyone else since we can't verify that the performance is PD.

We also can't PL the music - only the words.

no it sounds absolutely perfect now here's to your first PL ok.

I would maybe have left a little bit more pause between the end of the poem and the end disclaimer...before you had too long but now it's a bit too short But it's fine, just you could consider it for next time. 1-1.5 seconds is a good measure.

I'll look for some short stories as well

super have a look at gutenberg or archive. They have a lot and especially in archive you see the scan with the publishing date. If it's marked before 1923, it's fine to take.

but it's ok, one can understand it. If at one point you cannot efficiently cut out a stumble, the best thing is to re-record that sentence again. It's not that much work more than fiddling with a small snippet to cut out. What I meant is: don't re-record the whole section just for one error. It's too much work. Re-recording one sentence is ok

And yes, if I speak slowly enough, I guess Germans may understand it, although we have some vocabulary coming from the French (which throws them off track ) Also the spelling in this book is rather old-fashioned and idiosyncratic, it's not how I would write the words nowadays. It's also very hard for me to decipher some words.

Yes, I listened to your recording from the last volume. I love to hear languages that are close enough to other languages I know that I can vaguely understand them, but far enough that I feel like I'm venturing into a new world. I don't know if that might ring a bell...
