I noticed that there was nothing in the instructions to say something like "end of book4," or "end of The Stratagems." I didn't record an ending, but can edit if it was meant to be in there.
Othewise, I'm off to the next book.

Cheers, all.

Thanks Mark. I'll have to get busy on PL then. I'll leave it to the BC to say whether an end of whatever would be good, but currently as it's not in the instructions, like you, I'll assume not. And thank you SOOO much for making my job as PL extremely easy. Readers such as you who take the time to PL their own work are much appreciated by us PLs. I always try and do it myself, and am grateful if a PL catches something I'd missed.

As someone who also does PLing I wholeheartedly second that!

Section 20 is ready at 24:29:

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/stratagemsaqueducts_20_frontinus_128kb.mp3

I've already recorded 21 as well, but I'm not sure if I get to edit it today. We'll see.

I have to say that this one was much more interesting than part 1.
Cheers, Ava.

And here is section 21, a worthy ending at 23:59:

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/stratagemsaqueducts_21_frontinus_128kb.mp3

Yes, decidedly more interesting with all sorts of laws and fines and what is allowed and how and where...
Really cool stuff, given that this was written when - 2000 years ago? 8-)
Cheers, Ava.

Thanks!

And a few of those aqueducts are still in use, at least partly. I am always impressed at how these things last - the fact they are standing is amazing in itself, but the complexity of their planning, construction and use... so cool. Same for roads, but I don't know a comprehensive text about road building from the Roman times, unfortunately.

They were simply excellent builders. I saw and walked through a huge cement underground reservoir in Naples, which they believe was to store fresh water for the naval ships. That it was still in place, and still so much intact astonished me, as did the Pont du Gard in Provence. Thousands of years later, and still they stand.

Me too! I'll get on to the PL once I've done 12 and 16. I've been a bit delayed, sorry.

Hi Availle, it was interesting, wasn't it? Such care that they took to ensure the public water supply, and its quality.

It was almost perfect, nicely read throughout.
Just one oops - you said end of Section 21 at the end instead of 20.
