15 7.1 The Battle Of The Tongues
Hello SanjitaY,
Welcome to Librivox.
I see that this was your very first message posted on the Librivox Forum.
The process of being a volunteer "reader" on LV (=LibriVox) is quite simple but there is a STEP #1:
You supply a 1-minute test recording for the sake of verifying that your recording equipment and software are set up properly. This is a one-time task. You have not done this yet. Here is a link which describes the process.
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
In addition please consider telling us something about yourself at this link:

It will be helpful to know whether/how much experience you have in recording, etc.
DO try out some shorter, less demanding practice sections as your first step in learning how to do things. There are several short story and poetry projects which will offer you many opportunities for learning the processes. Here is a link the Short Works (Poetry & Prose) project:

The First Posted message (FP) on every project contains all you need to know to produce a correct, usable .mp3 audio file. There's a LOT of information there. It will pay to read it very carefully.
Lets get started! Let me know when you've received an OK on your 1-Minute test.
I'll reserve section 15 for you for a period of 2 weeks (7 July) or until you have completed your 1-Minute test Thanks for offering your talents and time to this project!
