Section 34, that is Chapter 30, will be ready in about a day. I have to correct seven places where I made minor mistakes and I'll be able to do that when the traffic outside has calmed down.

Meanwhile, may I claim the next four pieces?
They are:
Sections 35, 36, 37 and 38, Chapters 31-34 inclusive.

A note to proof-listeners:
When piece 36 is uploaded, this line:

With ears thrown back, with eyes bursting out of his bead, with erect mane, he pushed forward, bit, and kicked;

is a misprint or an error when scanning the book into Project Gutenberg. The line should be:

With ears thrown back, with eyes bursting out of his head, with erect mane, he pushed forward, bit, and kicked;

I double-checked it with the Polish original, and it is definitely 'head', not 'bead'.

In section 37, this line appears:
The Swedes might return to Jarosław (Yaroslav) by the same road over which they come, but they knew that in that case not one of them would ever see Sweden.

I think, but I cannot be certain about this, that this is a fault with the process of scanning the book into Project Gutenberg. I think the line should be:
The Swedes might return to Jarosław by the same road over which they came, but they knew that in that case not one of them would ever see Sweden.

as this does not look like an older version of the past tense, and it is definitely past tense in Polish:

Mogliby chyba Szwedzi wracać do Jarosławia tąż samą drogą, którą
przyszli,

What do you think? I can record both lines and use the replacement if you think I should stick exactly to the wording of the original.

I think you're right in that it's a scanning error. Past tense makes more sense. :)

I'm also fairly sure that Bogun should be Bohun.

Has anyone here noticed that Jeremiah Curtin avoided translating Jan Skrzetuski's name whenever possible? He is constantly referred to as 'Pan Yan' instead.

While I do the post-production on section 38, may I claim sections 39 to 45 inclusive (i.e. chapters XXXV to XLI)?
