nighthawks wrote: June 10th, 2020, 11:46 am On the Bottom of the first page of Section 28 Furphy, there is a description of the meaning of the word Furphy. Do I have to record this also, if so where. :?: Thanks
You could treat it as a footnote or, I think I would prefer that you say "Editor's Note" directly after you announce the title of the piece. You'd follow with the note itself and then have a bit of silence between its end and the beginning of the text. How does that sound?
That's a nice way of doing it. It's a very Australian term, known to most of us (at least of a 'certain age'), but not much known elsewhere.

Hello and Good morning!
I would like to volunteer to read section 58 - Our Sailors - The Amphibious man as well as section 71 - The Raid on London. This is my first time recording, but my one-minute test was approved as long as I do some noise reduction for actual recordings. If I am chosen, I would like to record under the name Ellirose. Thank you for your time! ")

Just a couple of oopsies here:
# 20 has almost 1.5 secs at the beginning. Please reduce to less than 1 sec.

#30
Nice reading.
But an Oops! you''ve left out the final verse (after the picture). This was highlighted in the MW

#70 Oops! Again, you've only read the first 2 verses. There are more beyond the picture, as said in the MW

Here is Section 31, A Confession of Faith

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/anzacbook_31_various_128kb.mp3

File Size: 1.9mb
Length: 2:6.20

Thanks for letting me be part of the team, please let me know how I can improve.
Have a great week,
Paul Stewart
Very nicely read.
But could you pay more attention to the requirements on silences at beginning and end?
* Too long silence at beginning (max of 1 sec required)
* Final silence not the full 5 secs required
Lastly, Please remove the first verse you read (So though your name.... CEWB) because this is the final verse of section 30, and has nothing to do with yours, other than appearing under the page heading.

duration 5:21 minutes
Thanks. Weezer
Thank you for this. Very nicely read. Beautiful phrasing, and you really brought it to life.
But could you pay more attention to the requirements for open/closing silences please?
Beginning silence slightly over 1 sec. Please reduce to under 1 sec, as required
End silence too short - please give full 5 secs as required

The only other issue is ~30 A strange pronunciation. It's never GallOpoli, but Gallipoli (as in lip)

I find myself confused here - which section are you reading? I was expecting this to start as per the text, where the section starts : In the Anzac Book, the story starts "It was the colonel who propounded the theory first..." Can you help me understand what's happening. (Incidentally your end silence is not the right length either)
