Good afternoon -

I just uploaded this fascinating short story by a famous African-American playright named Joseph S. Cotter. This tale has all the overworldly elements of short tale by Italo Calvino or Gabriel García Márquez. I can't believe it's been neglected for so many years:

Title: The Stump of a Cigar by Joseph S. Cotter (1861-1949)
Text URL: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/41590/41590-h/41590-h.htm#Page_74
Duration: 10:03

Twenty stories in 8 days, is that some kind of record?
This collection is also remarkable for the quality of the stories and the narration.
That is my opinion, of course.

Lynnet and Cheryl -

Thank you both for doing this! This is really fun. It's keeping me out of the speakeasies, and dragging me out of the slough of despond and lassitude.
