All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/captivating-bible-stories-for-young-people-by-charlotte-mary-yonge/

    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62126
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Good morning,

I am interested in reading the 5th section, or whichever one corresponds to the 5th Sunday: Jacob's Journey and Dream. I also have questions in how and what to read.

First, I notice that the section I'm interested in is divided by readings: there is a first, second and third reading. Should I make recordings for each of these readings, announce them in the same recording, or simply ignore them? Each reading also ends with questions—e.g, 1. What were the names of Isaac's two sons? 2. What had God promised Isaac? Similarly, should these be contained in their own recordings, a part of an individual reading, or within an entire section recording? Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in this project.
I've assigned Section 5 to you.

1. DO NOT read the questions or picture captions, (see added note to the reading instructions)
2. Read the rest of the text as printed including Scriptures and the headings for all three readings, with suitable pause. Intro and outro as given in the reading instructions. This will be all one continuous file.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you for placing me and answering my questions, but I'm not sure if I will be able to read the section I'm interested in yet—or within 2 months from this date. May I be removed for the time being? I don't want to occupy a spot someone can finish much sooner. And there are other sections I'm interested in if it is taken by the time I get back.

That's fine. Just check back in when you're ready to record.
