did I understand this correctly now: you want to remove the poem from this project for the time being, while deciding whether you want to go ahead with your stand-alone project ?

This is a sonnet by a great Italian poet who is not studied much anymore.
Sogni e favole io fingo, e pure in carte, di Pietro Metastasio (1698–1782)
Text URL: https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_fmHeD3bnGj0C/page/n423/mode/2up
MP3 URL: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/msw024_sogniefavoleiofingo_metastasio_le_128kb.mp3
excellent job on both poems, Liber  I especially love your tone of voice in Metastasio's poem, so very mystical and with feeling. :9: Though careful here, the volume in this poem is only 86 dB, that is our absolute lower limit. It's ok though, no need to change anything. Only remember, if you put on a whispery, enigmatic voice, it tends to be very low in volume ;) amplifying a little bit then with Audacity would be helpful to hear better.

Both are PL ok.

I will add Metastasio to the database.

And now just waiting for confirmation whether I should delete your previous poem or not.... maybe there is still one slot open for this project before we finish. This time we were ultra rapid.

Thank you, Sonia and Michael,

Thank you for all your advice and feedback.

About Cavalcanti: I have not done any research yet, but let's be bold: let's remove this file from this collection and I will start as soon as possible a multilingual project with different versions of the same poem. I am pretty sure I will find versions in French and English.

About the volume: yes, I guess I need to experiment a bit with the volume, and adjust it specifically for each poem. Thank you for pointing that out.

Well, not quite yet, but it does seem impressive, doesn't it? I wasn't involved in earlier volumes, but I seem to recall that the recent ones took much longer. I'll credit my BC'ing prowess for this feat.

If a free slot still remains, I'd like to submit (if not, it could go to the next vol.):

Thanks, Mark! I vividly recall struggling with an essay about this poem in high school... it's funny how differently some poems sound once you realize what was happening in the world at the time of their creation.

The ImWerden source is PD and legible. Sonia, the publication year is on pdf p. 7 and the poem is on p. 51.

good choice, and there is no risk. Keep this recording saved on your computer. And even if you don't want to go ahead with the different versions project, you can always upload this poem to the next multilingual project, so it won't be lost.

Title: Скифы (Scythians)
 wow I absolutely love this poem, and your narration is excellent, you manage to convey the conquering spirit of the Scythians with your voice. If Blok's poetry is always as good I wouldn't mind PLing an entire book. :9:

And the final section is also PL ok. Could you please only give us a few keywords still for this poem ? Then Todd can insert them into his list. We will wait for your answer before cataloguing. :)

Thank you, Mark !

@Todd: I can change the filenames again tonight if you like, that way we will have them in alpha-numerical order again.
