Hi,
I have made an attempt at the Lady of Scalot, 13th century Italian novellina.
Note that the number of the novellina is 82, not 81 as in the source (which omits to number the proem).
The author is generally known as "Anonymous Florentine of the 13th century".
The complete title of the collection is "Il Novellino. Le ciento novelle antike".
The translation by Roscoe is somewhat loose and inaccurate, but it was the only one I could find.

The New Heloise is uploaded.

5:17 Missing the phrase 'I suspect.'
14:02 Valet is possibly pronounced as VAL-it. I'll let you decide. I cannot. VAL-it seems to be the British pronunciation. In America, this role is probably called 'butler.' I have no idea about France.
My LibriVox: https://librivox.org/sections/readers/13278
I've added "I suspect" to 5:15 as it was in my part. And as Heloise is most definitely FRENCH, val-ay is correct, no matter who said it!
[vaˈlā, ˈvalət] French, English. Merci beaucoup for that friendly PL.
One more love story completed.

Here's a sweet little story from Lucy Maud Montgomery (of Anne of Green Gables fame), although this is a different Anne:

The Lady of Scalot is PL OK. Gave me chills!
Now let this be a warning to all you brave Knights out there, if a Lady falls in love with you, you better love her back or you may have her corpse on your hands!!!!!

Thank you, Michele,
The story is practically forgotten in Italy, though it had quite a resonance in British poetry and art.
Here, https://librivox.org/multilingual-short-works-collection-023-poetry-prose-by-various/ , I recorded the original in Italian.
At the time, they had this idea that Love urges you to love back, in some way, and they even had a… manual for loving well, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_amore_(Andreas_Capellanus)
Dante would have later encoded the notion in one verse: Amor, ch'a nullo amato amar perdona.

Certainly, Bill, I'd love you to PL this story. I read it very tongue in cheek, like a drama queen, for it is about a faery gal getting her revenge for being jilted. And a beautiful woman. And a handsome knight. And about how dogs make you love them 'til you're besotted, which they do!!!!! All the elements of a good faery love story!
