[Complete] Pee-Wee Harris in Luck by Percy Keese Fitzhugh - lt
Well, I changed my text as I knew I could not change the MW. It was a bit confusing as I thought Lomond was addressing me. Does "The Woods Trails" work?

Sophia appears to have disappeared, so I took a look at her file. It would be a shame to discard her work.
This is what I did:
1. Convert stereo to mono
2. Amplified, compressed, amplified again to bring entire file to ~90dB (within accepted range)
3. Exported file as 128kb constant
4. Cut off end of file (approx. 7 minutes)
5. Listened to file, completing edit of a stumble and cutting 2 long pauses
6. Noise reduction
7. Cut "end of book"etc.
8. The file now reaches our standard... but, Sophia, if you are reading this, please be aware there are a number of 'pops' (lip smacking, particularly on the letter 'p') -- the best way to avoid these is to have your mic to the side or above/below your mouth. If funds allow, you can get a 'pop filter', which is a guard placed in front of your mic. You can also make a homemade one using pantyhose over a frame (like an embroidery frame)!
Also there was a lot of variation in the volume. The compressor helped, but did not remove the problem entirely. This is usually caused by moving (e.g. rocking back and forward in your chair)-- not much you can do, except be aware and try not to do it
