I'm sorry, but L is spoken for. Do you have a second choice?KevinS wrote: ↑May 27th, 2020, 4:49 pm If I am permitted to read a chapter from a book, may I have 'L'? I am something of a student of the sinking of the Lusitania, but if such a subject is discouraged for this project, I will certainly understand.
I'm good for at least one letter, though! I can keep searching.

D for distinguished?
It's yours. I'll assign it before bed tonight. We're just settling in for a good Jackie Chan movie at the moment.
Nothing distinguished about my performance!
So, back to d point.

Welcome, Allen! I'm pleased that you're here and that you've chosen one of my projects to start off with!beehiveboy wrote: ↑May 31st, 2020, 9:45 am May I claim “E” for “The Elixir of Life” by Honore De Balzac?
I can hold E for you, but before you get started on it, it's best to go ahead and do a one-minute test. It's basically a sound and tech check, to make sure that your recording will be in a format that we can use. You don't want to record an entire long section, just to have to throw it out and start over when you realize your settings were off!
Thank you, Devorah!mightyfelix wrote: ↑May 27th, 2020, 4:04 pmAs long as it's in the public domain! I'm not familiar with it, but in any case, I've put you in for N!

I came across it in high school (many many years ago) and thereafter, I have watched that tale unfold over and over in my head - in crisp tones of colour and verve - and oh what a story it is!
Always,
