this is also PL ok. I especially liked the section about the Scottish poets and I had to snigger that the author thinks that most of the English poets wrote little more than dross

Maybe he cannot judge by modern standards. In any case it's a worthy historical document of the times.

thank you, yes indeed, all those women that knew Greek

quite interesting.

On the whole the chapter is perfect, but you missed the last page

> at 39:22: (p. 433) - the next chapter only start at the very bottom of this page, the whole upper part still belongs to this chapter. (starting with "This flattering description")

oh and something else: can you please leave the page numbers in the notes sections until I am done with the PLing...I always have trouble finding the page when you delete it once you are done

I put them in to make it easier for us both

I hope this is right. Talk to you soon, but I hope under better circumstances, by which I mean I need to pay attention to what I am doing and not leave out whole pages of text for example. Jim
