I was prolific and listened to both sections in one go. I loved the mention of Poe's Raven in section 15 :9: Maybe I should listen to that poem in the Russian translation once.

Section 14 already PL ok.

One small (probably optional) note for section 15:

> at 5:37: (p. 108) "нельзя набирать и слов?" – you say "слова" – not sure if it's very important (well you make it a nominative instead of a genitive :hmm: ) and anyway I promised to point out everything and let you decide

have a nice weekend

Thank you!
There are a couple of Ravens in Rus. translations in LV:
http://www.archive.org/download/raven_multilingual_0903/raven_18_balmont_b.mp3 -- the aforementioned Balmont's translation
http://www.archive.org/download/multilingual_shorts_008_1306/msw008_06_voron_poe_kk.mp3 -- different translation performed by your humble servant :-)

Thank you for pointing this out. That was an obvious typo, I just corrected it on the fly :-)
Your attention to details is amazing! (I probably said that already)

ok so this can be marked PL ok :)
Федор Сологуб, author of the gothic love story you first PL'd for me, is here:
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/silhouettes3_16_aykhenvald_128kb.mp3 [26:37]
ah the one with the mourning bride ? Yes that was a good text. I also loved the snippets of poetry here, it wasn't even too difficult vocabulary, I understood many things :9:

Section 16 is PL ok. Enough for today though, it's late now.

good night

another section in the box  this time I only found one small textual error:

> at 3:14: (p. 122) "Дивные и мудрые книги" – you say "длинные" - a bit of a different meaning, so you may want to correct it, but I let you decide, as always

the rest was perfect

and finished this one as well, a lot about poetry and rhyme schemes. Now I need a rest.

Found a few things to correct this time:

> checker flags the volume this time, under 86 dB. Maybe amplify it a little bit, some 2 or 3 dB, to get closer to the desired average

> at 0:13: "Валерий Брюсов" – didn't you usually also put "Part 1" or something there ? I may remember incorrectly though :hmm:

> at 10:48: (p. 131) repeat can be cut: "и не заглушал он вольной" – also a snapping after that

> at 22:25: (p. 134) "Как все это тяжело, грузно, трудно" – I may be mistaken but I hear "нудно" at the end

thanks, very interesting again ! And I'm caught up for one. :9:

Thank you, Sonia!
"Валерий Брюсов" – didn't you usually also put "Part 1" or something there ?
For multi-part essays I say продолжение or окончание (continuation or ending), but nothing for the 1st section. That's a standard for serialized stories in Russian periodicals.
The rest of your feedback for sec.17,18 are gratefully accepted and fixed!
Did you notice how YA does not pull any punches on Briusov? The irony is, I started a book of Briusov's translations of Verlaine, and I actually like them both! :D viewtopic.php?f=28&t=80234

managed to finish Bryusov now :) the alliteration poem was extreme  a bit too much. Interesting that he also mentions Verhaeren (I think it's him he means with the transcribed name...) I am currently PLing his poetry in the original French version. :9:

I was hoping there would be a perfect run-through, but right at the end there is a short part missing, sorry about that:

> at 31:08: (p. 145) missed part of the sentence, before the poem starts: "он опять в Венеции, и там —"

yes so far I like them and he is also a good reader, so I have no trouble following along. The project is a bit on hold right now, until he finds more time to record again.

That is my fault, I probably over-stressed the alliterations. If you don't mind to spot-PL it again, I could reread it without making it too grotesque.

Indeed, and I think I mentioned, I am doing a book of Verlaine poetry in Bryusov's translation. What a coincidence!

Ugh :-( Sec.19 is ready for spot-PL:
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/silhouettes3_19_aykhenvald_128kb.mp3 [35:07]
and L.Andreyev completed:

Bunin is the next, there will be poetry, and YA should be in a better mood. :D

no it's fine, and it wasn't your fault. Alliterating with the same initial letter for EACH word is simply overkill. It was the author who created this, you could only read what was written  No need to redo it :)

The section is now PL ok.

Trying to get at least one more section done today

also got through this section :) but now I definitely need a break. Too much concentration makes my eyes tired.

I found a small repeat here, which can be cut:

> at 32:36: (p. 163) repeat and finger snapping: "Если иные из второстепенных"

Have a nice weekend !
