Hi Tom,
Your volume was much better, at 88.6 and your corrections are fine. Section 5 is PL Okay. Thank you.

Just to let you know, I had a volume discrepancy which I've been working on to correct. It takes place at about 27:00 and no matter what I've tried, it just doesn't fix it. It sounds the same as the previous parts, but looks different. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I've highlighted the section I want to boost and then bumped the volume on the meter. But when I save, exit and look at it again, it looks exactly the same.

Can you give me some input on this as I've already put in quite some time on this and just getting frustrated.
Thanks
This is very weird, since it seems to happen mid-sentence. I have never seen that before.

I'm not sure what you mean with "bumped the volume on the meter"? You will need to amplify that second part by about 3.5 before exporting - is that what you did? I tried this and had no problem with it.

It's interesting that when I look at the first part and the second part separately, there is a volume difference of about 5 dB, but it's not noticable when listening over the change... :hmm:

Availle, so since the volume sounds ok (no matter what it looks like), should I attempt to change it?
If I can't fix this, I'll have to rerecord the entire chapter.

Ok - I took another shot at the volume. Please let me know if it's ok:

Hi Rita,
I first listened to your earlier file, then spot checked your later file around the 27:00 minute mark and I think the volume is better. :) I've marked section 10 PL Okay, but you may want to check these two places and correct if you feel it's needed. They are: 24:57 "ranch" should be "camp," and at 25:45 "creek" should be "place."

Thanks,
Lora

Thanks for making the effort Rita!

Sound is weird sometimes. I have recordings that look very quiet and others that look as if I'm screaming - but the raw decibels are the same. I'd say that we're in the listen business, not in the optical one, so we're fine. :D

Thanks for the quick PLing Lora!

I didn't quite know what happened to section 10, but I guess that you've addressed those two little issues, Rita?

Thanks Todd for checking in! :D
