Hello all, I found this wonderfull and thought provoking group on Gutenberg:
it is a book about the underground railroad which helped free slaves. A wonderful book full of true stories. It is so interesting because it is true. I have a few concirns about starting it as a group project:
1. It includes words which would be considered affensive today.
2. It includes curse words.
3. There are different styles of English in the book, which are very othentic but sometimes hard to understand. I love it but as a reader I don't know if I would be confident enough.
I hope someone would take it as a solo. It would be good for some people even as a first solo becausee it is rather short. It is really great. I spent all morning reading it. But do read carefully to see if you feel comfortable with it. I had a few readers along the way who didn't feel comfortable, which is ok but something which one should keep in mind. I would love to help in any way. Regards,
