Think well on't, or, Reflections on the great truths of the Christian religion for every day of the month by Richard Challoner (1691 - 1781).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/think-well-ont-by-richard-challoner

Richard Challoner (1691–1781) was an English Roman Catholic bishop. He is perhaps most famous for his revision of the Douay–Rheims translation of the Bible. In this work he gives reflections on the general truths about the Christian religion for each day of the month. He also provides an introduction about how to meditate on them throughout the day. • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/cihm_91756/page/n11/mode/2up
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I can MC this for you. Am I understanding correctly that you will not be including the introduction? Also, are you combining days?

Yes exactly, I'll be grouping days into 3s, with the introduction tacked on to the first track.

We moved to "going solo". Since you are almost finished here you should try placing an ad in the listeners wanted forum.

Oh, sorry -- had a PM with Steve, and you can put me in for DPL on this one. It will take me a while, but I will PL all of the sections.

Thanks, Linny.

It is always a good idea to post something in the thread when you upload more files. It's a great prompt for the DPL.

I'm marking Section 3 PL OK, but you might not that there is a noticeable volume shift at about 11:10. Up to you if you want to make any adjustments.

I see what you mean. I must have moved closer to the microphone then. I adjusted the levels to make them more equal.

Section 4 is PL OK.

Just one note for Section 5 that jumped out at me:

13:42-44 Text: “affords no light to the wretches it torments”
I hear, ““affords no light to the wrenches it torments”

(Fourteenth Day p. 75)

Section 6 PL OK
