I'm sorry that I've taken almost a month Todd, but now I'm recording my lines for Astolfo! I need some help with pronouncing these names.

Is Clorilena pronounced clor-i-LEE-na or clor-i-LEN-na?

And how is Recisunda pronounced?

And is Muscovy pronounced like MUSK-oh-vee?

How is Segismund pronounced?

I do NOT care if people pronounce other character's names (or place names) differently from each other - I treat that as people just having an accent, or using pet name pronunciations, or something like that.

But I would like to have people use the same consistent pronunciation of names throughout each file. So once you pick a pronunciation, please stick with it.

(Note: if we had stage directions done, or any of the characters you name, you could listen to how they say names in the dramatis personae/voice credits. But we don't have that option available at this time.)

I think Muscovy is MOSS-ke-vee
Segismund is SEG-is-mund
Clorilena is your first option
Not sure about the other one but I think the stress is on SUN

I'm sorry for the weird cadence of this one, especially in act 1. It seemed first like a poetic translation with rhymes and then the translator got tired of it or something but the formatting didn't change...

I'm happy to redo anything for this one, I'm not 100% satisfied with it myself.

Good spot the minor misread entirely changed the meaning of the sentence.

Glad you did this play Todd I have loved it ever since seeing it at Stratford many years ago. I have a better more modern translation (actually a Spanish-English parallel text) which shows how much Fitzgerald changes the original play. For instance he removed all reference to the illegitimacy of Rosaura who in the original is the illegitimate daughter of Clotaldo. Fitzgerald makes her the daughter of a man who saved his life. This was probably because illegitimacy was a sensitive, almost taboo, subject in England in Victorian times.
The Spanish play also has much longer speeches, one speech of Rosaura occupies 7 pages

I put Soldier 1 and Lord in Waiting in the MW for PL. They will get combined with lines from Soldier 2 and Captain, and Chamberlain when I edit so as to sound crowd-like.

PS do i do all the lines relevant to the four 'characters' in order, or do i do one recording for the chamberlain and then another for the ALLs etc?
PPS is Omnes just one line in act 1, Scene 2?
