To James and Larry,
I've marked Section #7 PL Okay; there is still more than 5 seconds of silence at the end of the recording, so that will need to be edited. Otherwise, all okay.

Thanks very much,
Lora

Great to have your recording-thank you. I tested the volume of your file on MP3 Gain and Checker, and it registers at only 81.8 dB; the range is usually 87-91. Amplification will be needed and Larry or Tricia can help with instructions on how to adjust that. The reading was fine--Please shorten your ending silence by 2 seconds and check for the omission of background noise at 1:43, 3:07, 3:26, and a small pop at 8:30.

I'll check back in a bit for revisions--thanks again!

Lora
Hello! Thank you for the feedback. Can someone give me some advice on how to implement these revisions in audacity? Is it necessary to re-record the text with different settings?

Sure, glad to.
Under the Effect drop-down menu, select Amplify.
Our LV target for volume is 89 dB with a range of 86-91 dB, so I would set the amplification level for 7, which will bounce it up close to 89.

Then you can look for those noises identified and probably just clip them out. (Hint start at the back and work your way to the front so the time stamps stay the same.) Then be sure to adjust the ending silence, which should be close to 5 seconds. Just clip it accordingly.

Then, save the file under the same name and upload it again, post the link here with the new file length and you should be all set.

We use a little program called Checker to give a true volume, since that isn't offered in Audacity. You can find it here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker

Thanks for your contribution! :)
All the best.

Hello Todd,
For Section #20 please check: at 3:03 "chapter" should read "character" and at 13:12 "extended" should be "ended."

Thanks for your awesome recording; I'll check back if you make the fixes.

Thanks again,
Lora

Hello Larry,
Is there a file for Section 15, "Asmodeus?" It's marked ready for PL but I'm not sure I have the file link. Thank you, Lora

Any chance you can get this in soon?
We have the other two parts and I'd like to get this put together.
You also have corrections to do on Section 6.

Just thought I'd see how you're doing.
