hi cindy,
i apologize for the waiting time - but i wanted to have time and the mood for this one.
and i needed it...
in german we call that roller coaster of feelings.
this book is very "provoking" emotionally, in parts.
first: thank you for your recording!
checker and pl were ok!
i don't know, if you were asking for constructive criticism with your question.
so, the honest answer with respecting standard pl level is:
pl ok means there is nothing to do but to claim and read other sections, to your liking.
if you were not asking for cc, please ignore the next paragraph in italics:
as a cc, i want to hint at the soundwave and differences in volume in parts of the recording:
beginning with minute 19,5 there is a visible falling in volume, a short high at minute 21,5 and again falling down until the end of the recording.
that is not that big of a problem but one extreme low is in a rather important part of the story:
19:34 - 19:38 there are -6db to our aimed-for 89 db.
it is the answer of baron tilling, the reason he wanted to speak with her.
there is no need to rerecord!
but i would try to mark these parts, or the extremely silent parts, and amplify them for around +3 or at the maximum +6db.
thank you for your recording and please, do have fun and claim other sections, in every project you want to!
cheers

No worries! It really is a roller coaster ride!
Thanks for the feedback. Being new to Librivox, I'm learning the process but I'm also learning how to work with new equipment and still training my ear. I'll listen to, and amplify, the sections you noted. Should I then upload it and post it to this thread?
I'd also like to go ahead and claim Section 11, Chapter 4. 1. Thanks!

thank your for your sections and work!
i'm feeling sorry that i missed upon section ten for the weekend - i try to become more reliably and speed up, but it depends...
data for both sections are entered and the pl: i'm working with a long weekend, this week.
so, probably, i will need to wait until the last days of the week.
greetings from tyrol!
cheers,
cheers
