Oh, that will be wonderful, thank you! I had definitely decide to include it, but wasn't sure which of us should (and wanted to!) read it. Please do include that. In fact, it can be in its own file, if you don't mind.
Will do!mightyfelix wrote: ↑April 24th, 2020, 3:31 pm Oh, that will be wonderful, thank you! I had definitely decide to include it, but wasn't sure which of us should (and wanted to!) read it. Please do include that. In fact, it can be in its own file, if you don't mind.

Here it is, but you need not listen to it yet. I'll need the text for the intro and outro first before it's really finished.mightyfelix wrote: ↑April 24th, 2020, 3:31 pm Oh, that will be wonderful, thank you! Thank you! I went ahead and had a listen to it anyway. I found a few things to correct, and I went ahead and gave you the exact text for intro and outro below.KevinS wrote: ↑April 25th, 2020, 8:53 amHere it is, but you need not listen to it yet. Intro: "Appendix and Editorial Note of The Consolation of Philosophy, by Boethius. Translated by W. V. Cooper. This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit Librivox dot org.
0:45 You can remove the "signed by" here and just use the initials. Also, it may seem minor, but I think these initials are I.G., not L.G. I think the extra large punctuation just makes it look like an L.
7:37 I hear "In the seventeenth century appeared..." Text reads "In the sixteenth century..."
11:23 Again, please cut the "signed by" here and just use the initials.
Ending: "End of Appendix and Editorial Note. End of The Consolation of Philosophy, by Boethius."
Please upload as consolationofphilosophy_5_boethius_128kb
Thanks again!
Great! Thank you! I'll do this soon! (In fact, I just uploaded a new version including possible intros and outros for you to pick through. It can be ignored.)mightyfelix wrote: ↑April 30th, 2020, 10:09 amThank you! I went ahead and had a listen to it anyway. Argh. Wouldn't you know it, I went totally brain-missing for a minute and told you to upload it as section 5, when it should have been 6. Ah well, no harm done, I'll just be careful to fix everything when I upload the true section 5, later on.
Nonetheless, this is perfect now. The error was mine, no need to upload another time!

A new Section 19. I'm sorry I had to re-record this. I found it impossible to match the tonal qualities of the original.

And I apologize for taking so long with this. It's a neat project!

Thanks, Kevin! Book 2 is PL ok. Book 1 needs a correction.
1:32 Text reads "450 BC." I hear "550 BC."

Had the corrections recorded quite awhile back, but wanted Dolootle to finish first.
Edited this a couple of days ago, and then clicked on close instead of export, and . . . well, I did it over so here it is. I hope I got all of the changes in okay.

Oh no, that's too bad! Does that mean that this is a whole new recording, though? I might be misunderstanding you.silverquill wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2020, 9:55 am Had the corrections recorded quite awhile back, but wanted Dolootle to finish first.

Never mind, Larry. I figured it out. Boethius Book 1 is PL ok!
