I will pencil you in for it. Please do the 1-minute test before starting to record this. It's not an audition, but a "sound check" on your tech settings, etc. :)

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

Are you using audacity?

- The recording is in stereo. To change all future recordings, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices. Under Recording, change Channels to "1 (Mono)".

- Bit rate is variable; it needs to be 128 constant. This is set when you export to MP3. When you go to export, on the screen where you enter the file name for the MP3, change the Bit Rate mode to Constant, and the quality should be 128 kbps. You should only have to set it once; it'll remember the setting until you change it again.

The rest is OK, although it would sound better with a little noise reduction to take care of the background white noise. Here are a couple resources:
text instructions: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Noisecleaning_With_Pics
video, but with an older version of Audacity so the settings are different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFSg9o37HMw

My settings are as follows:
Noise reduction: 10-16 (I suggest about 12 for you)
Sensitivity: [default]
Frequency Smoothing: [default]

I do noise reduction on all my recordings; it's a common post-production task. :)

Good! Tech specs all check out. :)

Only two PL notes:

1) The end after "end of section 9" has only about 1 second of silence. We need about 5.

2) 0:27-0:29 "The spearman heard the bugle sound" - there's a noise in this portion that needs a re-record to fix. (It's minor; I wouldn't have mentioned it but for the need for more silence at the end.)

The file name isn't quite right; I suggest copy/pasting from the first post, then changing the section number. :)
