Chapters 11 & 12 PL OK

Sundays go to extremes don't they? Being able to do all or absolutely nothing sometimes.

I do have to wonder at the logic of "not paying any less for the value of an item" and yet... letting the harried man count out what he was willing to take. I did wonder how the grandpa was going to work that out. I thought he would slip in a little extra but, would that be honest either.... hmmm

I noticed the shunning of "bargain hunting" but didn't notice the inconsistency between that and the penny counting!

I should have saved my "blooper" when I was reading along and finally realized that the "party" and Aunt Bella not returning in the barouche were because she got married and went away! It flew over my head when I recorded it. I edited in better spacing to make it a little more understandable (perhaps). But I literally said "Ohhh!" when I realized that is why the little cousin came for a visit!

You must have done a good job because I realized that fact.... even though I've been listening in a choppy manner. I'm thinking that listening through the book will give it the consistency needed. :)

Yeah, bloopers are fun and interesting. :D

Two more chapters up.

A couple little teaching "ouchies" in this set for me.

Chapters 14 & 15 PL OK

Yeah there are a few little teachings to heed in the book. It will make more sense when I listen again to the full book.

Okay though.... Auntie was supposed to count the cost before doing something she was pretty much force into. Maybe she was supposed to count the cost of refusing vs the hassle of the tea.

I figured it was more a case of "realize this is going to be a really crazy hard task!" And the bit about the interest, I assume that meant "was there spiritual sowing/watering that will pay off later on?"

Chapter 17 is up.

I noticed an edit I need to make to Chapter 16, and the mic is upstairs. I'll get to it tomorrow. But these really aren't in any particular order anyway, if you want to listen to 17 before 16. :)

So you want to catch your own and not leave me anything huh?
I may as well wait and do two at once. :)

Well, I wasn't sure if you'd catch it.

It was about the engraving on a butter knife scraping off in the butter, but I read it as if the engraving was scraping off the butter. I pictured some sort of embossing on the butter itself, which made no sense!

Yeah, I might be doing a crossword puzzle and miss it. 8-)

But, yes, I see what you mean and I also would have thought the knife was cheap and had a finish chip off into the butter. ;-)
