Chapter 9 - https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/storygirl_storygirl_09_128kb.mp3
Thanks, Cadastra!

You could just add the expanded voice credit to your next file and I'll mark Chapter 1 PL OK.

Great Aunt Olivia, Kristin!

Chapters 1 and 12 are PL OK.

In Chapter 19, at about 0:12 the line is ""What a sulky, sulky lot of little people." (I hear "skulky, skulky").

Hi! My name is Diego, and here is my part (Billy Robinson) for chapter 6. Please let me know if there is something that needs to be fixed. Thanks!

Welcome to Librivox, Diego! I see this is your first project, so we will need to set up a profile page for you. Please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Great acting with Billy Robinson!

I have a few technical and logistical issues:

Please leave the brackets out of the title. So when you export your file from Audacity to mp3 format, it should be named: storygirl_billyrobinson_06_128kb.mp3

Then when you go to the uploader, instead of choosing "tests" (as you did for your 1-minute test), you need to select the MC of the project, which for this project is: TriciaG

So then when you post your link to this project, it will look like this:
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/storygirl_billyrobinson_06_128kb.mp3

The volume of your recording is too low. It is 78.4db and we aim for 86-92dB here at Librivox. I can increase the volume myself, but I tried it and it sounds a little mechanical. I think if you increase the volume of your original recording before converting to mp3, it will sound slightly better. To do this, simply highlight your entire file in Audacity. Then click "Effect" from the top bar, then click "Amplify" and put 11 dB into the amplification box. Then save, export as mp3, upload, and post back here.

I advise you to download the program "Checker 0.96", so that you can check your own files before uploading them. Here is a link to explain:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

Otherwise, your reading of the role is perfect! I love the emphasis you put on "NEVER" in "never tell a soul" -- fantastic portrayal all around! I hope to hear your voice in more dramatic readings.

There are still some parts open in "Little Men": viewtopic.php?f=27&t=78657

Me too! I would have loved to have heard more from him. There is a sequel to this book, so maybe he has more to say in that one. Anyway, you played him brilliantly! Even when he was angry, he kept a steady head and never lost his cool. A very nice old boy indeed. :D

Sara Ray, Chapters 18 & 19 are PL Okay.

In Chapter 20, there is one line at 00:20

"And she wasn't a bit cross when I told her I had gone to the magic lantern show."

You add an "if," which changes the meaning a bit: "And she wasn't a bit cross when I told her if I had gone to the magic lantern show."

Also your volume isn't always in the range we aim for: 86-92 dB.

Sometimes it is too high:
Ch 19 95 dB
Ch 20 92.4
Ch 26 99

And sometimes it is too low:
Ch 23 84.7
Ch 25 83.7

I advise you to download the program "Checker 0.96", so that you can check your own files before uploading them. Here is a link to explain:

Great job! Wonderful crying, and what a great shriek! I couldn't have asked for a better Sara Ray. :D

Peter is fantastic, Julian!

Chapters 6, 8, and 9 are PL OK.

In Chapter 10, could you please add "overwhelming garland of suns" from the last page to the end of your file. Everything else is perfect.

Thanks,
TJ

Perfect! Aunt Olivia, Chapters 19, 24, 25, 29, 30, and 32 are all PL OK.

Also, Aunt Olivia is in Chapter 23 as well. Sorry, I left that out of your original list.

Thanks, Kristin!
