He knows that he must defend his family's honour, and possibly risk his life in the process, but he does it dispassionately out of a sense of duty and feels no real anger.
yes you could see it this way, but also the other way around. While the elder brother is more brought up to defend the family honour, he may be more outraged, whereas the younger brother may be more carefree and spoiled (maybe even have a penchant to some frivolities as well, so understand DJ better  ) Both have valid arguments.

Or maybe they are twins, that's the perfect solution.

In any case, your performance was great. I loved the beginning where you sound a bit out of breath, rightfully so, after a heated fight against robbers. I can almost see you wipe the sweat from your brow with a handkerchief. And the best outburst was "Hold brother" !!! I really throw yourself between those two now.

Only one small error, which I think may be significant:

> at 6.23 (p. 111) "and gratitude for the obligation does not efface within me resentment for the injury" - you say "effect", which is kinda the contrary

looking forward to the next act !

Thank you, Alan

Act 2:
> at 0:38: there is an unusual sound like a loud siren, which nearly gave me a heart attack. Could you cut this out please (Todd's heart may not be as strong as mine)
Ah, you found the missing chirp. I recorded 2 and 3 in the same project by mistake, so I inserted a loud chirp between the two acts as a visual cue so that I could separate them later. The first time I did the insert, nothing happened. Now I know where it went!

Act 3:
> at 6:37: (p. 114) "Do you not know it ?" - you forgot "no"
Oops.

Act 4:
> at 4:31: (p. 126) "no need of light..." this is the statue speaking, you can cut that one out
Ah - easily done. Snip.

thanks

Don Carlos is still keeping his temper here, I would probably have kicked Don Juan in the shins already if he had mentioned the word "heaven" one more time. But it's in line with the temperament from the previous act, so it's PL ok without a doubt.

Thanks Alan !

It would appear that Don Louis is still available. Looks interesting. Might I....?

great to have you read in this one as well, Ron 8-) I loved the enthusiasm of the poor father in the 5th act (poor man...so easily conned). Excellently portrayed. I'll mark Act 5 PL ok already, but for Act 4:

> for the voice credit, could you please always say the complete description (you can read it in the MW), here: "Don Louis, father to Don Juan, read by ..."

The rest is perfect too, thanks !

ah that was three quickies, thank you Todd. Both roles PL ok. I liked La Ramee, I can imagine a few old Hollywood heartthrobs from the 50s play this guy. :9:

Great job !
