Here are the Stage Directions for An Irish Engagement. There were times at the end of a line someone left and I added who the character was that was leaving even though it didn't say in the actual stage directions. If you don't like this, let me know and I will happy to redo those spots!

So you knew that from the beginning?
You could have simply read those two words yourself, you know.
Since you're editing and didn't take any other role.
Would have been faster overall.
Just sayin'.

Ah, but what fun would that have been?

It took me (and you) more time finding the line than actually recording it.

I'm happy to help out where I can to get these things finished, but this is not the kind of "fun" I'm looking for.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this. I can understand the frustration with it. Personally, I am not recording right now and just sticking to PLing/editing. As this collection was not close to finishing, I did not feel a big rush to put this together. I would have recorded it myself if I thought so. In the future, maybe I could put a note at the beginning that says she only has one line? Perhaps that could make this easier.

It is PL OK!

The Cyclops

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/thecyclops_cyclops_euripides.mp3

There are 2 lines missing from the script on pages 463 and 464. I was not sure what to read at that point. I have put in markers at both points.

I think there was lost material at that point (it's only a couple thousand years old), and so I expect to have a gap in the final file. Or something like that. The Shelly version I looked had had similar gaps.

Thanks, Todd

If not I'll still do Norah.
Julia in "Irish Engagement" is PL OK

Great job!!
Julia's "crazy" scene with M'Carthy was hilarious!

I have the Hartleys ready for PL. Remind me, is there already a DPL for this or are we to find our own PLer?

It would be great if someone not involved in that play could PL it. Failing that, I will.

Kitty wrote: April 11th, 2020, 11:31 am Since I was at it, I also checked the Cyclops narration, and here I found a few things to correct:

> at 0:03: after "by Euripides" best also to name the translator: "translated by Edward Coleridge"

> at 0:40: (p. 449) "chorus of Satyrs" - I would suggest to correct this pronunciation, because you said "satires" which is a different thing (= a funny play). "Satyrs" (= mythological people) is pronounced with simple /i/ or even almost mute /e/ in the final syllable. Not rhyming with "wire". More like "martyr"

> at 3:42: also at the end: "translated by Edward Coleridge"
Thank you Sonia!

Here's the cyclops again, not very satirical anymore.
