The Man of Genius by Cesare Lombroso (1835 - 1909).

Famous criminologist, anthropologist, and psychiatrist, Dr Lombroso, investigated the memetic anecdotal belief that genius is associated with degenerative symptoms, or may even be a version of insanity, and presented his findings as a fascinating and controversial theory that the creative and imaginative celebrities throughout history have also displayed what he termed as "atavistic" symptoms, or defects resembling what is commonly seen in the unwell. Citations of evidence are drawn from a rich variety of references sources, including autopsy reports of brains and skulls, biographical data, the influence of environmental and seasonal changes on inventiveness, and even from the records of thousands of admittances into prisons and asylums of France and Italy. This book can be considered as a sort of sequel to his better known and also highly controversial theories about criminality associated with physical manifestations, often categorised as "psuedoscience". However, it should be noted that although his claims are factual and verifiable, his choice of selective evidence and the absence of a control group should be considered when reading the book. For books with "parts" it is sometimes easier to use section numbers at the beginning of the intro, e.g.

"Section [number] of The Man of Genius. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"

In the outro, you would just say, "end of section [number]."

If you would rather use Part and chapter numbers at the very beginning of the intro and in the outro, that's fine though. Another suggestion is to mention the translator's name only at the beginning of the first file and at the end of the last file. Sounds like an interesting book.

I have just noticed in the archive text, there are some errors in the page numbers being out of order in a few places. if this is a mistake from the people scanning the copy or a printing error, im not sure, but i will be reading from the gutenberg html version instead. There are also some interesting footnotes that should have been included in the main body of the text, which i may decide to keep in.

after he died, his children preserved his study and notes, which they commented as very physically jumbled, which may also reflect on his way of thinking and working.

it does not explicitly state who the translator was, but i believe it was Lombroso's daughter. I could be wrong

When you filled out the template you listed Walter Scott as the translator. An error then I assume. I'll remove that from the Project Screen. Gutenberg doesn't list anyone as translator.

"Walter Scott" is actually the name of the publisher and book binding company which is known for mass printing of classics translated into english, and the contemporary science series of which this book is a part of. it also distinctly says Havelock Ellis was the editor of the series, but its not clear if he had anything to do with the contents of this volume

Thanks for the info about the book. I'll listen to this file tomorrow as it is late here but just in case there are longer chapters to come, 72-74m is the maximum recommended file length at LV. This file is fine but a longer one would need to be split into "parts."
