I've added Adrian as the DPL to the MW, and removed the ~ from the thread title (the ~ on a thread title indicates there is no DPL).
Great to have you on board Adrian!
MaryAnn
Thanks, MaryAnn. Do I get to update the MW directly, or does the BC do that?
Reason I ask is that in the only other book I'm DPL for, Todd seemed to think I could update the MW, but couldn't find out how to make that work.
You can (and should) update the MW to indicate PL status on the sections you have listened to. Have you been into a MW before? If not, you will need to set up your password. Instructions are here: First Login instructions
The password systems for the forums and the MWs are NOT linked - a lot of people use the same password for both, you just need to remember that changing one will not change the other.
Hello Adrian,
Thank you for letting me know of my errors. I have now posted my newest file with your corrections and also have changed the words also as you had mentioned. Thank you,
April

Chapter 15, PL NOTES
Nicely and clearly read.
There's an error in post 1 that you might want to correct, which resulted in the following errors:
@2.5 seconds, "chapter 15 of group ..." the word "group" should not be there in the spoken prologue.
Ditto at 27.5
@27.5 superfluous "Samual Adams Drake"
You might want to change the current instructions: ""Chapter [number] of ~(group) The Myths and Fables of To-day Samuel Adams Drake. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org""
to read: ""Chapter [number] of The Myths and Fables of To-day by Samuel Adams Drake. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org""

I'd like to claim section 8 "Of Love and Marriage", please. Thank you.
Hello! I would love to have you read section 8 though I do wonder if this is your very first recording? I will hold that section for you though please do respond to this question when you have the time. Thank you,
April

Hello again while it is always great to have new readers, I must ask that you complete the one-minute test first so that we can assure your recording settings are compatible with those needed by LibriVox.
Typically the suggestion for your first post is a poem which is smaller than the section you have claimed.
I am thinking now that posting this will enable the Mc, MaryAnnSpiegel , to better direct you as to where the 1 minute test is located on the Librivox website as I do not see it.
I am not wishing to lead you astray so please do understand what I have typed is only for the best outcome.

Just listened to your sample of reading and WOW!! Wonderful reading voice you have. Please do follow through with your 1 minute test as it would be a shame to not have you read librivox materials.

Hello,
I'd like to claim section 9, "Of Evil Omens."
Thank you...LJB
All yours! Thanks for claiming & enjoy the read.
Hello again, April...I have a Q:
Can you please remind me, what is the time limit for each section?
I have an estimated word count of 6365 for section 9.
Since I read pretty slowly, I'm concerned I might run up against the time limit.
Thank you...LJB
Louise "every little breeze..." Fun Fact: 40% of all statistics are wrong.

Hello,
The typical time limit is 2 months
Though I will give you longer if you would like. 1 month extension if that would help you?
