yes you could see it this way, but also the other way around. While the elder brother is more brought up to defend the family honour, he may be more outraged, whereas the younger brother may be more carefree and spoiled (maybe even have a penchant to some frivolities as well, so understand DJ better ) Both have valid arguments.alanmapstone wrote: ↑April 4th, 2020, 2:59 amAlonzo, as the younger brother, is incensed with anger and hell bent on revenge but Carlos, the older brother, seems more resigned than angry. He knows that he must defend his family's honour, and possibly risk his life in the process, but he does it dispassionately out of a sense of duty and feels no real anger.
Or maybe they are twins, that's the perfect solution.
In any case, your performance was great. I loved the beginning where you sound a bit out of breath, rightfully so, after a heated fight against robbers. I can almost see you wipe the sweat from your brow with a handkerchief. And the best outburst was "Hold brother" !!! I really throw yourself between those two now.
Only one small error, which I think may be significant:
> at 6.23 (p. 111) "and gratitude for the obligation does not efface within me resentment for the injury" - you say "effect", which is kinda the contrary
looking forward to the next act !
Thank you, Alan
