PL notes:
*Missing end of book outro.
*End silence a tad long at 6 seconds.
*DC Bias could use normalization- it's at +9. (optional, but simple to do :))

I was surprised at some of the wisdom coming through after his pessimistic reflections earlier. Some of it could be made very applicable these days..
.

Thanks, Rosebud :D

I fixed the errors and reloaded but lost the link

Fichte followed the way of the philosophers since Descartes and ended with rejecting materialism and accepting spiritualism.

PL Notes:
Your reading is great, but the volume and background noise need a little adjustment.

*Noise level is easy to reduce with Audacity: Select end silence for a sample, then hit Effect> Noise Reduction> Get Noise Profile. Then select entire file and hit Effect> Noise Reduction> OK.

*Volume is at 85.2 dB which is just under our accepted range. However before you'll be able to amplify without clipping, you'll need to de-amplify 4 spikes (at ~1:01.30, ~1:12.10, ~1:12.26, & ~2:50.76) Then amplify entire file.

Any questions, feel free to ask! Thanks,
@RSlabaugh I edited it finally https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/destinationofman_13_fichte_128kb.mp3

Please let me know if it needs any further adjustment.

Thanks :)

Here is the Spirit part for Chapter 6.

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/destinationofman_06_spirit_fichte_128kb.mp3 9:31

The set-up in the MW is confusing to me, so I don't know where it goes.

And, I thought I would edit Chapter 5, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
There is a Section listed as Kevin Correction 5 with a non-standard file name. Is that the completed and PL'd part? Sounds as if it might be, so I'll see what I can do with it.

I want to take this off the back burning and get it cooked and in the oven this month if we can. Sorry it has been languishing. Quiet recording time is harder to come by now with everyone at home.....

Okay, I guess that was the right file, although oddly named, and so here is Chapter 5 edited together. I think I like it.

Silverquill,

I've been putting completed parts for the spirit section at the bottom of the window for Rosebud to PL. I'm sorry it was confusing but I didn't want them to sit somewhere in the thread and get lost.

Now that chapter 5 is finished, except for the intro and outro - I will read the intro and load the file in the MW for Rosebud to PL as a finsihed product. How's that?

There is a line from the poor grandfather in the movie 'Moonstruck' where he says, "I'm confused.' I often feel that way.

If there is anything more I should be doing, please let me know.

 Question: It’s best if I can follow with the words, correct? I’ll try to get the ‘spirit’ and ‘I’ parts caught up soon, possibly before the completed 5. It’s enough harder finding time to PL word perfect files than for others that I can PL while working or driving, so I’ve been shamefully neglecting those parts. But I’m hoping for time to catch up tomorrow.

Yes, I do think it best to follow along with this part.

Thanks for your help with PLing.

?How do you PL while driving? I have to follow along when I PL.

You're doing fine Kevin. You're probably working on 50 projects at once. I would be confused too.
