Chapters 2 & 3 somehow have the recording
of Chapter 1 running in the file as well.

(Listen from the MW to understand what I mean by that.) I hope you have a form that'll play by itself?

By the way, the technical things all were in line for both files.

I don't think you've posted 5 yet?

2 & 3 are the ones I was talking about. I don't think I can explain it really, but it sounds like Section 1 is playing with both of them.

Yes, we're agreeing. Go ahead and listen to the files in the Magic Window, then see if the files on your computer also have the double recording. If they do, I don't know what to expect on whether the files can be separated or not.

We'll go from there, I guess.

Ok, so I listened to 02 and 03 and heard the same thing. I don't understand how that happened. After I record a chapter I go through it and edit it. When I did that for 02 and 03 I certainly didn't hear 01 also running. After editing I check the volume level with MP3 Express and then have Checker check them and they both passed (and again just now). Then I uploaded them and copied and pasted them into the next available window here. In short, at that point as far as I knew they were as clean as a whistle. The bottom line is that I will have to re-record Chapters 02 and 03 as I don't have a clean backup copy. After I have done that I will submit Nos. 02, 03 and 04 (which is done and ready).

That’s too bad! I’m sorry for all the extra work you’ll be putting in! I have a notion of blaming it on Jumpo Kinkytail.

I think though that you meant chapter 5 is ready for uploading? Because you’ve already posted chapter 4.

However, after I uploaded Chapter 05, I checked it for the time and noticed some background noise. So I am going to clean it up and upload it again. So you may want to postpone checking it until I do that. Also, I see that I put a bracket rather than an underline between 02 and garis. Is that OK?

I have royally screwed up Chapter 02 as the result of the typo when I was saving it. It won't run with that bracket in the file name and I will need to re-record it in order again to save it properly. If you wish to fire me from this solo I will understand. I promise to do better with the rest of the chapters. Perhaps it's coronavirus stress.

I am honestly more sorry for you than for myself. I’m busy enough right now that I’m getting behind in PLing, so take all the time you need.

Good news! For chapter 2, I changed the file name in the Magic Window to match what you uploaded, and presto - new recording! So definitely no need for you to start over on that one. I only listened long enough to see that it would indeed play the file, and noticed there seemed to be a higher level of background noise. If you could check the level with checker (our computer is down right now) while you’re changing file name, that’d be great.

Let me know if there’s any other issue I forgot about. Thanks!
