I suppose I could listen to some more tests and write it down? But is it stored anywhere? thanks

Thanks TriciaG.
I am going to make my test recording this weekend.
I have looked at the forum for a suitable chapter in a group to do - but I can't decide.
How did you choose your first chapter?

thanks

My very first chapter was a short section in "The Lincoln Story Book". I think it was less than 2 minutes long. :) I did one, then after getting a PL OK on it, I did a few more. Then I moved on to projects with longer sections.

So if you want to do the same, I suggest (after getting the OK on the test) heading over to Readers Wanted: Short Works and looking for something that interests you that is maybe 1000 words or less. That will be about 6-7 minutes of finished recording. That will get your feet wet. :) Then branch out into longer stuff in any of the Readers Wanted forums that catches your eye!

Thanks TriciaG
that's very helpful, the forum is brilliantly in-depth but totally overwhelming at the same time :)

I hear ya. :) Once you get over the initial overwhelmingness (a new word I just coined), it'll be easier and eventually become second nature. 8-)
