no it's fine, I managed, so all is well. I also listened to your next section just now and it's PL ok as well. Now we have a lot of German words in it.

The story sounded quite spectacular. It was about a circus show, I understood that much, but not all the details. Some Indian natives making a show ?

"Sachem" is set in a town established by German settlers in Texas. The town is built on the site of a former settlement of the Black Snake tribe, which the settlers decimated. Now, 15 years later, they are excited at the news of a circus troupe visiting the town. The highlight of the show is supposed to be "sachem", "the last of the Black Snakes", which leaves the townspeople feeling slightly ambivalent, as you may imagine. After performing a tightrope-walking the star of the show launches into an increasingly emotional description of the destroyed settlement. At some point it starts to look like he may attack the spectators to avenge the natives, but then the show suddenly stops and in the end the sachem emerges once again, this time asking for donations.

I had German clasess in school, on-and-off-again. I never went very far, but I still remember bits and pieces.

excellent, thank you Piotr. There is no limit to the contributions here, so I don't mind another Polish poem

The story is all word perfect, but could you only please use the short disclaimer in the beginning and at the end. We are only using the long disclaimer for long stories, not for poems:

"[Work title], by [author], read in [language] for LibriVox.org by [your name]".
At the End say: "End of [Title]. This recording is in the public domain".

The rest is fine. The source is also ok as there is the link to the original scan.

Hi everyone! I've recorded a short story (more of a prose poem really) by Rubén Darío in Spanish.

It's called Amar hasta fracasar (Love until failure), and it has the peculiar characteristic of using no vowels other than the letter a! Crazy right?

You read it very beautifully and I didn't find any notable textual errors

well done, and it's a wonderful addition to this collection.

Only one thing you need to change in the outro:

> at 10:15: you need to say "End of Curiosidades literarias", because that is the real title of the whole section, not the title of the short story, which is embedded into the section

> also the volume is a bit under our accepted limit, only 85.3 dB. We aim for about 89 dB, and accept between 86 and 92 dB. Could you maybe amplify the whole with 3 dB to get closer to the perfect average ? Do you have Audacity ? If yes, I can walk you through it if you don't know how to do that.

Hi! Sorry for all the trouble, I was so tired last night I even forgot to put the file through Checker! (Note to self: Recording at 3am is fine but maybe wait till next morning before submission). Anyway, I made the correction at the end, amplified the audio a bit and also removed some pesky sound peaks.

Story Summary (with spoilers): Ana and Blas, the loving couple

, try to marry against the wishes of Ana's mother, Marta Albar

. After a series of unfortunate events Ana and Blas escape in a ship to a new life, but, due to a storm, the ship was wrecked and Ana dies

. Seeing this, Blas lets the water take him and Ana to the bottom of the sea, Blas dying

. In the introduction, Darío explains he heard this story once and never knew who came up with it.
