My One Minute test was recently approved and I will be recording for these sections shortly. Can’t wait!
That's great! Don't forget to let me know what catalog name you want.

EDIT: Nevermind; I see someone else has already entered you into the catalog. :)

Here are chapters 20, 21, 22, and 23 for Frank Minot.
<https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_20_frank.mp3> (3:42)
<https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_21_frank.mp3> (1:46)
<https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_22_frank.mp3> (0:20)
<https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_23_frank.mp3> (2:02)

For chapter 23, there may be one line that belongs to Frank: "Put him in the old refrigerator, he can't get out of that." But I honestly couldn't make heads or tails of it.
The part coming afterwards makes it sound like it is Frank speaking. But then why would Frank use a sepulchral tone, unless he was being facetious? In the sentence coming before, Frank is the subject of the first clause but then Jack is introduced and the last clause seems to be ambiguous as to who is doing the speaking; however, I'm not confident about my grammar. There may be a rule governing the subject in a case like this.
I didn't record it because I wasn't sure of myself, but I will be happy to append it later, if it is found that it really is Frank's line.

Thank you for the chapters!

And thanks for pointing that out! Yes, I think you were right to give pause -- after looking at it more closely, I think it's Frank's line, especially because of the sentence that comes next. Yeah, so could you add that line in your Chapter 23 file? It would go at about the 1:56 mark. Sorry about that!

Hey Twinkle,
As I said yesterday in our PM's, I planned on finishing up the role of Jack today. I have been editing for about the past two hours and got up extra early this morning for this role. I hope to finish the rest today, but I need a short break. So here is what I've got so far:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_01_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_02_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_03_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_05_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_06_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_11_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_12_jackminot.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/jackandjill_13_jackminot.mp3

Also, I noticed that the MW says Jack appears in Chapter 4, however, I couldn't find any lines belonging to him. :hmm:

Thank you for being so incredibly patient with me. I really hope to PL some other sections as well, and I'm so sorry for delaying the amount that I have. I'm not trying to hold anything up, and that's why I've dedicated myself to this role today. Thanks
Elijah.

Also Twinkle, I think I can finish up the rest of the PLing. My schedule is pretty open now, so I can finish the parts PLing and final chapters. Thank you for catching me up on everything! I appreciate it, but now I gotta do my part. :D

You did it! Great job! Yes, as I said in my PM, since you've completed all the chapters before someone else claimed him, I'll enter you back in the MW for Jack and start PLing. :)

I have fixed the Chapter 4 mistake in the MW -- thanks for pointing that out.

EDIT: It looks like you're missing Chapters 7, 9 , and 10. If you can send in those, too, I'll assign you to Jack again! You can do it!

Thank you! It took me about 3 hours, but it was soooooooo worth it. This was such a fun role and I'm so glad I finally completed. It being that much fun, why did I delay? I haven't had so much fun recording in a long time

I probably should have entered them into the MW... but I thought I'd wait for your permission first. Another thing is, how do you make things in bold [bold] text in the MW? I've always wondered how people make things highlighted too. That why I have typically only been marking things PL OK, or See PL notes and not highlighting the number.

Anyway, thanks again! :D

Yeah, you're almost there. You just need a few more chapters first:

PL notes for Jack:

Chapter 2:
- Misread lines @ 0:41: "That was good of old Joe. I wouldn't lend him 'Thunderbolt' for fear he'd hurt it. Couldn't have smashed it up better than I did, could he? Don't think I want any pieces to remind me of that fall. I just wish you'd seen us, mother! It must have been a splendid spill to look at, any way."

Chapter 3:
- Misread line @ 2:39: "I can't look out to see him do it"
- Loud plosives @ 6:50: "Pooh!"

Chapter 6:
- Misread words @ 1:33: "Yes, and we are going to keep her in this pretty cage till we can both fly off together. I say, Jill, where shall we be in our classes when we do get back?"
- Extra "oh"s @ 5:54: "Caesar, how it did hurt!"
- The song @ 6:50 is unusable because your version is much slower than the sing-along version linked in the text. For this song, everyone must wear headphones and listen to the sing-along audio while recording their own version, so that we all have a similar timing.
- Misread lines @ 8:11: "All right. Jack." (This part needs to be read as statement and a sign-off rather than a question -- "All right, Jack?" -- because it changes the meaning.)

Note: Remember to leave only 3-5 seconds of silence in between lines. Also, remember to export files at 128 kbps.

OK, I will fix these as soon as I can. Thank you!
