COMPLETE: [Religion] The Destination Of Man by Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762-1814)-Leni
Haha! You gave me a reason for listening. Gotta love your stumbles followed by “again” then doing it right. It always makes my day to hear obvious flubs made by someone with as much experience, and usually perfection, as you.

Now you know I talk to myself . . .

It's not uncommon for the edited version of a recording to be reduced by 25% or more when edited. I keep telling myself it will easier when I learn to read better, but . . . . well, lots of stops and starts and retakes. That's the way it is. Something every newbie should be told.
Anyway, thanks for your good PL!

Pastor, I've never heard one of your unedited files, but they can't be much different than mine. And you're correct; the unedited recordings are a mess of goofs and meows and sneezes.
Your end product, though... Always magnificent!

Well, I do have a great church, and although I do preach occasionally, and other things (had a wedding last month) and do mission trips, I'm no longer full-time. I have a plaque, somewhere that says I'm retired, but I'm still active and have another full-time job at a Christian book company.RSlabaugh wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 11:49 amI'll have to visit your church sometime.silverquill wrote: ↑March 11th, 2020, 10:43 am I keep telling myself it will easier when I learn to read better, but . . . .

There’s some electronic disturbance that I really don’t know if you want to fix or leave. It’s not extremely annoying, but it’s there...
Occurrences are at ~4:44, ~4:58, & 5:27. I’ll let you decide what it is and whether or not to do something about it.
Otherwise the recording is just fine.

I found only one word that you missed, but don’t know how important the correction is...
~7:50 “My consciousness of them begins with that of sensation.”
It does change the meaning a bit, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it’s worth the bother.
Thanks,

*Missing end of book outro.
*End silence a tad long at 6 seconds.
*DC Bias could use normalization- it's at +9. (optional, but simple to do )
I was surprised at some of the wisdom coming through after his pessimistic reflections earlier. Some of it could be made very applicable these days...
Thanks,
