I did find a passing reference to Wilde in one of the 1882 Yale literary magazines: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015068303018&view=1up&seq=259

It is not really favorable to Wilde but it seems to indirectly acknowledge his importance.

You may notice an error at about 7.40 when Wilde refers to Baltimore as 'here' instead of 'there', even though he is in Washington. This is an error in the article itself. I am correcting obvious typos, but this feels a bit different. I wasn't sure, so I've left it as it was.
