Once you pass the preliminary then we recommend starting with some recordings in the short works area until you are comfortable with the editing process.
I had some difficulty with getting the right amplification. I have used Checker and it seems alright now. Please let me know if it-requires more correction.

Jennifer,
Section 44 is PL OK. Lovely work, once again.
The volume is within range so I wouldn't worry about it anymore.
I am somewhat bemused by Part 4 of Chapter 12 - the MW indicates it is 3680 words - that is more than Part 3. However recording up to but not including the foot notes it is much shorter. I have not included foot notes in previous chapters and am unsure quite what to do here?
I will edit what I have recorded and await your advice before I upload .

That's my mistake. I got carried away with the highlighting when I was doing the word counts and didn't take the time to actually look at what I was highlighting. How does 2742 words sound?
I became disorganised ! and up loaded the file without the correct ending I am afraid. This one is now correct I hope.
I have no idea why we were excluded from cemeteries. I can find no reference to women being excluded and presume that it was in the particular circumstances probably the bad weather that was the culprit.
In those days women were intimately involved with washing and laying out of bodies so excluding them from the outside ceremony seems unlikely .
Cheers

Happy to do more but maybe I have outstayed my welcome and done too much of this book. I know as a Librivox listener it is a pleasure to have different readers throughout a book.

If you are enjoying the book I have no objection to your reading more. It's up to you.

We'll go with bad weather. That seems likely and a much nicer option than being banned for being women.
