wow this was a fast turn-around, thank you so much. Oh but the story was so hard for me to swallow. Stories in which animals come to harm are so sad for me. All throughout I was pitying little puss, and I feared she would end up dead in the end. Well, her fate is unknown, unfortunately, I would have preferred a happy-ending. But it's not that sort of story. :(

Nevertheless, your reading was excellent. Nicely paced, engagingly narrated. I loved to listen to your reading, even though the story was sad.

I have however a few small editing notes to point out. Nothing difficult, so there is no need to re-record it all. Just Spot correct the few parts I will point out to you :)

> from 0:17-0:20: a pause of over 2 seconds feels way too long for a listener, I would cut this down a little bit. 1.5 seconds is usually enough, even between paragraphs

> at 0:18: you missed the second part of the disclaimer (the underlined part here) : "The Black Cat Vol. 01 No. 03 December 1895. Section 5: Kootchie by Harold Kinsabby"

> at 2:11: (p. 37) repeated sentence "The instant Buttons spied her he gave chase and drove her for refuge into a small tree". you can cut out one of your versions

> at 3:10: (p. 38) "for the prevention of cruelty to animals" – you said "preventation"

Thank you :) Just reupload with the same filename, the new file will then replace the old one in the Magic Window.

Thanks for the feedback, feel a bit silly that I forgot to delete the repetition when I was editing the file!

Should the disclaimer at the beginning be all of the following?

"Section 5 of The Black Cat Vol. 01 No. 03 December 1895. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
"The Black Cat Vol. 01 No. 03 December 1895. Section 5: Kootchie, Harold Kinsabby"

yes exactly, in group project the whole title is usually repeated again before the section. You can also mention your name if you wish between the two, but that is optional

Re-uploaded a fixed file.

yes some words are easy to edit like that, others impossible  I am also thrilled each time I manage such a minute cut successfully. Pressing the z-key to prevent clipping is crucial there. You managed really well. All is PL ok now. Thank you !!!! And maybe I'll hear from you in another project any time soon. Good luck with further recordings, I hope you like the process :D

I'm also thrilled which each story I hear afresh. :9: Thanks, Todd, this one was quite suspenseful, though I suspected that the narrator was the man from the jungle ;) But the end-sentence comes as a cool highlight nevertheless.

Absolutely PL ok. A pleasure to listen to. Just as a small note, I would have cut the lengthy pause between the intro and the start a little bit (it's almost 3 seconds, which feels a bit long) but since there are no other errors, it's ok nevertheless. :)

thank you, April, this was a nice little story. A sad ending, but the man had a good life I guess, so he isn't to be pitied too much. A very good narration, lively and well read. Totally PL ok. :9: I enjoyed the listen.

Have a nice weekend
