I've just tried uploading a poem but got a "empty upload" error. Can you see if anything got through? Could it be because I used a Polish character (ł) in the title? :hmm:

EDIT: OK, I tried once again, this time changing ł to l and it got through.

Here comes:
Author: Juliusz Słowacki (1808-1849) (new author in the database, I think)
Title: Testament mój
Date: 1909
Link to text: https://pl.wikisource.org/wiki/Testament_m%C3%B3j (or do you need a link straight to the scan?)
Duration: 2:36
I forgot to copy the uploader link, but I hope you can retrieve it.
Key words: poezja, wiersz, romantyzm, testament

found it: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/msw023_testament_slowacki_pn81.mp3
and yes, the uploader only accepts letters without diacriticals or any other signs. Will PL soon. Thank you Piotrek !!! The link to the text is fine, we can accept wikisource when there is a link to the original scan, which we have here.

thank you, I just had a listen to it. And I even understood some parts, which sounded a bit similar to Russian vocabulary  nice reading  a worthy addition to the collection. And the author was already in the database, we had 3 poems for other collections already. 8-)

I have a few small notes to correct though:

> in the beginning you leave 2 seconds of silence, you could shorten this, so it starts a bit earlier. 1 second is fully enough or people might wonder what's up ;)

> at 0:07: you can cut out the long disclaimer, for short poems we can simply use the short version: "[Work title], by [author], read in [language] for LibriVox.org by [your name]".

> at 0:50: sterał moje lata młode - you say "młode lata", which may mean the same but then it destroys the rhyme with the 4th line

> at 2:30: since you are using the short disclaimer in the beginning, you need to add "This recording is in the public domain" after the title/author

thank you

hey Konstantin, glad to see you found the multilingual project. Did you see my reply to your one-minute-test ?

I opened your reader page for you: https://librivox.org/reader/13924 , you can see all your projects listed here, it will be a nice reference in future of what you have done here officially. :9:

To your poem, very beautifully narrated and to my delight I understood many many words which are extremely similar to the Russian vocabulary. Also you are very expressive and didn't read too fast, so I was perfectly able to follow along with the text. Do you want me to insert the name of the poem also in the Kyrillic script or is this transcribed version ok for you ?

The text itself is flawless, I only have one question before I can mark this ok and one tiny thing to add at the end:

> at 1:13: the final words, do they mean "this recording is in the public domain" ? Because we absolutely need this disclaimer as part of the section. The other readers read the intro and outro in English, so I didn't have this problem  but here I better ask to make sure.

> at the end we need 5 seconds of silence, you end a bit abruptly. Could you only insert 4 more seconds, than all will be fine.

> and could you also give me a few key words that qualify the text ? two or three words are enough

> also please be careful with the file name. We absolutely need _128kb at the end of the name, as you can see in the example in the first post: msw023_[work's title]_[author's last name]_[your initials]_128kb.

Thank you, and hopefully many more to come. Oh and your text source was a good choice because it's the original scan and shows the title page with the year it was published. Perfect research.

thank you, Piotr, now PL ok. I nearly didn't find it, I now see you added 128kb at the end. Didn't notice it was missing previously  Always best to post the link anew here, so I can check and see the difference straight away. ;)

Hi Rivera :) and welcome to the forum. Great that you found the multilingual project immediately and we also have two other Spanish projects in this sub-forum currently, so you can check them out as well.

I see you already got feedback from Adrian here in the test-area: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=78330
seems you only need to adjust the bitrate and then you are ready to roll. Please reply to Adrian in his feedback thread, he will then recheck your reuploaded test. :) Best to keep the tests all in one area.

Good luck and I'll be seeing you soon again. 8-)

Yes, that's how I found this thread actually.

I opened your reader page for you: https://librivox.org/reader/13924
Thanks! :D
Do you want me to insert the name of the poem also in the Kyrillic script or is this transcribed version ok for you ?
Now that I think about it the title should probably be in Cyrillic with the transcription in parentheses.
So Њени јади(Njeni jadi)
the final words, do they mean "this recording is in the public domain" ?
Yes, they do, so no need to worry there.

I added the silence at the end and renamed the file.
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/msw023_njenijadi_radicevic_kz_128kb.mp3

As for the key words maybe use Elegy, Romanticism, Vernacular literature

wow what a long text, and excellently PL ok. You did read a bit fast sometimes, but I managed to follow along with the text. Thank you, Piotrek :) I found it interesting that so many English words were interspersed.

If you find long texts uncomfortable to PL, I may ask NinaBrown to PL the next one :)

Just wait for the next piece
