[COMPLETE] Richard II by William Shakespeare - kit
awwww I love the Welsh accent, so cool. And I suppose this is genuine what you hear all around you wonderful job. Also liked Northumberland but the Welsh captain is a special favourite of mine now.Craigos wrote: ↑January 14th, 2020, 8:39 am https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/richardii_northumberland_1_3.mp3 3:16

Both PL ok. Though careful with the filenaming, Northumberland was in Act 2 Scene 1 I had a hard time finding him in there no need to reupload though, I'll put it in the right slot.
Thank you, Craig

I am back to work on this at last. As I mentioned in our email thread, I still owe you my part of the Dramatis Personae, but can't find the list to read from.
Here, for now, are the rest of my small roles, plus the narration corrections. Barring further corrections, it looks like 2_4 can be edited.

thank you so much for all of these, Brad !!! I just had a listen to 3 of them and Abbot, Lord and Salisbury are PL ok. I especially like the villainous voice of this lordHamlet wrote: ↑January 19th, 2020, 4:57 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/richardii_anotherlord_4_1.mp3

So 2.4. is ready for assembling, if anyone wants to have a go at it. I am pretty booked out for the moment and would be glad for any help to be honest.
Sonia
all stage directions now PL ok
Sonia
and Bushy has a great gruff voice and demeanour, I love it For some reason you have a long silence in 3.1. but that doesn't matter, can be ignored. 2.2 and 3.1. are PL ok.
I have a small note for 1.4. but may be optional, I let you decide:
> at 0:11: "at Ely House" – not sure how accurate you want to be, but the English town of Ely is pronounced "Ee-lee", not "Ee-lie"
thanks, great job on them all.
Sonia
so nobody was biting, and I had a bit of time and since it was a shorty, I quickly assembled it:

Recording time: 1:43 min.
Sonia
I see no one, including myself, has contributed anything for a couple of weeks. I guess we're all busy! Well, I'll break the "silence."
First of all, corrections. I corrected my mispronunciation of "Ely" in Bushy_1_4, but I remembered having to say the word at the beginning of Narration_2_1 as well, and sure enough, when I checked that, I discovered I had pronounced it the same way there. So, I corrected that, even though I was not directed to. It probably would have been noticed in editing.
As for the long pause at the end of Bushy_3_1, I agree that looked odd, and I corrected it, though as you said, I didn't have to. When I use the "Generate Silence" feature in Audacity it usually offers as default whichever length of silence I last used, and I usually have it set for five seconds since I generally add five seconds of silence to the end of all my files. Somehow, I can't imagine how, it got changed to five MINUTES and I didn't notice it when I added it to the end of the file.

It's just past three in the morning my time, and I have been unable to sleep for some reason. About an hour ago, lying here awake, I decided to make use of the time and start recording my "main" role, Bolingbroke. Here is the first act.

I do have a pronunciation question for 1_3. What is the proper pronunciation of "Aumerle?" Every production I have watched or listened to (such as the professional Arkangel Shakespeare recording that I have here, has it pronounced as two syllables (Aw-merl). That is how I read it in the scene. But while sampling the already completed files in the magic window, I noticed that at the beginning of the Lord Marshall file for 1_3 Craig pronounces it as three syllables (Aw-mer-lee). Should I alter mine for the sake of consistency, or does it really matter?
Now I'm finally feeling sleepy, so no more tonight.

well I for one don't have anything to upload here anymore I'm waiting for you guys
oops, sorry I didn't mention it there probably slipped my vigilanceI discovered I had pronounced it the same way there. So, I corrected that, even though I was not directed to. It probably would have been noticed in editing.
I said "Au-merl" with only 2 syllables, because I thought it was French. I don't think it matters much as long as you stay consistent for your role. People probably said it differently back than, some being more francophile, others more anglophileI do have a pronunciation question for 1_3. What is the proper pronunciation of "Aumerle?" Thanks for your sections, will try to PL soon ! (but I have quite a backlog right now, so it may take a bit of time)
Sorry you can't sleep, hope it's better now. Good night

I checked them all once more and all the files are PL ok now. Bolingbroke has quite a fierce temper loved the performance. Looking forward to the restHamlet wrote: ↑February 11th, 2020, 12:24 am https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/richardii_narrator_2_1.mp3

I, too, would suggest we use "Aw-merl" (two syllables) for Aumerle, as that seems to be the one most commonly used.
Tomas Peter
Bolingbroke completed to the end of Act Three. Plus, I just realized today that I still had not done my part of the Dramatis Personae so here is that as well:

excellent, thank you !!! quite a good batch here. Bolingbroke is at his best when he is enraged against traitors, it seems
all PL ok except one PL note for Scene 3.3.

Looks like I am going to have a lot more time for recording in the next few weeks.
The voices are too similar for these two parts, but as they are not in the same scene I'm hoping it's OK. No problem to re record. I am trying to get back into the wing of it.
My one daughter is a deputy head of a school and also needs audio recording to teach from home. So could be quite busy.
More importantly, I hope everyone is coping with this terrible time. I wish you all the best.
Cheers
