Hey everyone!

I'd love to do section 20, Carnation, if that's ok?

Thanks!

Thanks, Nemo and Eva. Both are PL OK and wonderfully read.

Well, I only skimmed the story before I assigned the parts and, after listening to your recordings, I see that there are two characters labelled as 'He'. Or are there? I think having Nemo playing both adds to the queasy, heightened feel of the story - to think that it's somehow a wife having an 'affair' with her husband. Lots of the other stories in this collection have a similar feeling. I am going to chalk this one up as an accidental success!

Oh, it's great that this worked out. Thanks for the PL and kind words. :9: "Queasy" is the perfect word for this piece ...

Thanks a lot!

A reminder - because this is the last story in the book - to please end your recording with:
"End of Section 25. End of Something Childish and Other Stories, by Katherine Mansfield. "

I just have a couple questions before I post.

The "all librivox recordings are in the public domain" at the beginning is good enough? I don't need to say "This work is in the public domain" at the end?

And, should I put the year in parentheses at the end? I mean it is written in parentheses, should I read it?

Thanks!

Thanks for checking. At the beginning you would say "Section [number] of Something Childish and Other Stories. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org. Recording by [name]. [Story title] by Katherine Mansfield".

At the end of the story you just say "End of section [number]".

I have been reading the dates at the end, as have some other readers, but some have missed it out. I would rather it was included, but it's not a big deal if it's not there.

Thanks! No worries: the other one is long and we’re not in a rush. I will PL later today.
