Hi!
My name is Chani and I am totally new to this! I would love to read for children's books, and thought this would be a great starting point.

I may ask a few questions so, please bear with me until I get totally acclimated.

I can't wait to get started! :D

This would indeed be a great place to get started. :D

I would suggest beginning be reading through the Newbie Guide to Recording: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

You will find a section in there about completing a one-minute preliminary recording and how to submit it. This is just a "maiden voyage of sorts to check out the technical aspects of your recording. Once you have done this, select on of the open chapters to read and post a request here. Be sure to let us know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.

Of course ask any questions at any time. We are always eager to help new people get started.
