PL Notes The Girls of Central High at Basketball
Thank you for your submission, Craig. A few notes:
9:43 the girls of Central High were, you say East Central
and
I would start your Intro with "An excerpt from...title", and your Outro with End of an excerpt from . . . title".
I never got past those first confusing hours where I couldn't tell which way the goal was and who was on my team!

Thanks, Craig. PL OK. And yes Gertrude described my experience perfectly -- completely lost on the court!

Thank you, Piotrek81. Interesting selection!
Just one PL Note:
Intro, you say Part 27, delete Part (it's actually Volume 27, but we don't have to say that either)
On the next chapter, Throwing the Discus, the Fig VI looks exactly like the famous statue, The Discus Thrower (around 450 BC). I wonder which came first?

I haven't recorded anything for Librivox for several years.
I hope nothing has expired.

I'm sorry, Bill. This is not a recording by you, and Flora Metrick is not in our catalog. Why are you submitting someone else's recording? Please explain.williamjones wrote: ↑February 9th, 2020, 4:27 pm Uploaded Casey at the Bat by Ernest Thayer

Several years ago, there was a Fortnightly Poetry project running for which both my teenage granddaughter Maeve Sharkey and my wife Flora Metrick submitted readings. They were interested in "this Librivox thing" that was taking so much of my time. As I recall, they both went thru the sign-up process, recorded the poem and uploaded it to LV. My wife just now told me that their readings were rejected because the time period of the project had elapsed. But, she definitely recalls recording and submitting a test file. When she couldn't find herself in the catalog yesterday, I was hoping that it was just because she had been inactive for some years. So, I stepped her thru the process of recording, uploading and posting her file -- and used my sign-on since hers wasn't found. She signed the upload posting. No deception was intended.msfry wrote: ↑February 9th, 2020, 5:48 pmI'm sorry, Bill. This is not a recording by you, and Flora Metrick is not in our catalog. What else could I have done? There was only a narrow window of opportunity in which she could do this.
