Excellent job on the preface and introduction; interesting listening! Only one very small fix:
***at 29:35 there is a repetition of the phrase "in which the former..."

How do we handle the indications of abridgement? Should I say "dot dot dot" and/or "open bracket [translator's summary] closed bracket"?

I would just read it straight, Michael. The title of the work already says it is just selections. =/

Hmm, what does reading straight mean for summaries given in brackets? Reading them as though there were no brackets or skipping them altogether?
