Beautifully read on both, thank you.
101 is PL OK.
With 102, there is one point only:
~ 0.32 the text says he 'burst into revilings...' but I hear revellings instead, which would change the meaning. (The i in reviling is long, as in while )

Here's the file to check out. Thanks for having me here and please let me know if it's OK or if I need to tweak anything.
Perfect! PL OK on first pass - very well done and nicely read. The only thing you forgot (presumably) to do was to post the recording length. We ask readers to do this with every file they upload. I've filled it in for you this time.

Ohhh, I see that now. Ok, I'll put the length of time under it next time. Promise! Hope all is well.

Yes, this one all good. The file length is used in a couple of ways, at the end (when published) and during the putting together of the work, it can be helpful to help distinguish between revised versions of a reading - eg, if the original length was 2.05 but the PL (Peer Listener) pointed out the end silence was too short, the reader fixes it and resubmits, but the file length hasn't changed, then it highlights something is wrong somewhere. Hope this helps. It all gets very familiar after a while, but I know when starting out there always seems to be a lot to learn and remember.

You're most welcome! And don't worry, we've all done it!
Thank you for taking the PL request so well and your beautifully done revision. All PL OK now!
Thank you! The only issue on this one was your final silence a bit too short. There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording. On this occasion, I have adjusted it for you and thus marked the recording as PL OK, but if you could remember for any future recordings?
Thank you! I was aware that I was supposed to do that, but I guess I forgot. I'll be extra sure next time!

Strange, it sounds like I was very deliberately saying a word that doesn't exist. Anyway, I reuploaded the file with the correction.

Oops, I wrote email where I should have written post. Sorry!
‘See PL notes’ is a bit opaque, isn’t it? It is just means ‘see the post which says what needs to happen’.
PL stands for Peer Listen /er (ie, someone else listening to your recording)
Now, I can’t remember at this point either. So what I do is search using the Search topic box . I put in just your forum name and search on that. The relevant posts appear in reverse order. I have to scan down through them, but when I find the relevant post, it tells me I said: Section 4:
Very nice reading.
* The volume on this is way too low - only 83 dB as measured by Checker. Our target is 89 dB with a range of 86-92 dB. If you need help adjusting this, let me know, but since section 3 was correct, may be just an oversight.
* You have omitted to say “Fables of Aesop and Others, by Aesop” just before the fable name
* Could you correct the pause and stumble around 2.35, which is jarring to a listener?
(Optional, but I've added it as there are some corrections to be made): you may wish to double check your pronunciation of "ignominious".
Always ask when you don’t know. All happy to help.
Thanks Jane, that's really helpful and a very clear explanation, with great suggestions
About loudness, I still just amplifying until the max and use my eye to see that it falls between -12 and -6 most of the time. If there's a better way of doing this, I'd like to know. This time there was one loud moment, which pushed everything else down, but I fixed it.
Thanks for your leadership!

Thank you for this. The volume is now just under 89 dB, which is perfect. I commend you to the Checker utility, which I run every file of mine and every recording for PL through, to check the basics. It's mentioned on the Newbie's Guide link and is invaluable. See here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker If you scroll down on the Information tab, it will tell you the dB rating.
Your recording had a bare 1 sec of silence at the end of it, whereas the beginning info on the first post of every project says: There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording. Please remember this on any future recordings. As this revision had been quite a while in coming, and as there were no other changes to be made, I have fixed it and reuploaded the corrected version, thus it is now PL OK.
Thanks Jane,
I'm going to now look into getting email notifications when posts mention me, and I will get that Checker. Very helpful.
Can you or the Forum please help me, and tell me if there are any pop, bump or clicking Audio apps that I can get other than Audacity, as I create bump sounds when recording in the words and find them hard to remove? Thanks.

Thanis!
One way or another we'll get this finished before the end of the month.
Hi, have been away having a hand op, so checked to see if your project was finished but you have 1 section open still?
I am more than happy to record the last one!

Great!
I've given you Section 99
I have two others I may have to orphan, since the readers haven't responded to PL Notes nor PM;s. I'll check on them in a bit.
