benderca wrote: January 31st, 2020, 6:17 pm I found another color coding mistake, but this one only affects the Count of MC, the editor, and me (Maximilien).

In Chapter 113, page 10:

"He hopes so, Maximilian." The young man's head fell on his breast.

"You have my promise," he said, after a minute's pause, extending his hand to Monte Cristo.
"Only remember"

"On the 5th of October, Morrel, I shall expect you at the Island of Monte Cristo..."

"Only remember" should be purple for Max and not blue for the Count. I have read the line.
Thank you again. My only defence with these mistakes is that I did these maaany moons ago, and rushed through them a bit because I wanted to get started

Section 25: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristo_marshalbertrand_1.flac
Section 26: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristo_oldnobleman_6.flac

The main page didn't say anything about reading a "Read by ___" credit, so I assumed you weren't including them? It would be an awfully long dramatis persona list to put at the front, especially if it was all the bit roles? Anyway I didn't include them, let me know if I made a mistake?

Thanks! We are, actually, we're just going to make seperate files and have one for each volume. Most likely, the smaller parts will be more of a "Various parts read by..." and then everyone, but I'd like you to record one for each role you do to have it in order. Just put it in the front of the file and upload under the same name:)

Various smaller roles, ready for PL. I added individual credit snippets, but also "Various" and "Additional Voices" credits to the marshal chapter, because I assume that will probably be used in lieu of a unwieldly number of credits.

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristo_postilion2_114.flac

I'd be willing to take on more of the remaining tiny roles, but I'm not sure when it would get to an oversaturation point, so feel free to stop me at any time. Otherwise I'm happy to take on the Driver and the Rita's Father-et al roles.

Great, thank you! I've made a general rule of as long as it's not in the same chapter and not a more recognizable character, you can do as many as you want:) I've signed you up

I noticed the narration slots are mostly unassigned. Was Caulkins planning on doing all of them to keep a consistent voice, or is each Book going to be a separate person?

The narrator's part is still open for volumes 2,4, & 5. You should just claim one volume at a time:

- The Narrator is split into the five volumes. One person can read all five volumes, but can only claim one volume at the time, so when you finish one volume, you can claim the next. [/list]
There have been two narrators so far...

No worries. I just wanted to post my notes here, so the editor can find them easily when the time comes. (This is a huuuuuge project!) :D
