I'd like to be credited as Chris Gray. Thanks!silverquill wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2020, 11:23 pm
Well, proper LibriVox protocol is to wait until a claim has been acknowledged and assigned before recording and submitting something.
Before I can even do this, I need to know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog. Many of us use our real name because this is how we are credited for our work, but you may use any pseudonym or nickname that you wish.
Glad to see you have a good report on your one minute test!

I'll do things in the right order this time.
Can I please read 134 - The Nurse and the Wolf?
Thanks,
Chris

The only thing I would suggest is running some noise reduction to eliminate the backgound hum. It is in the Effects menu, and we have some tutorials on it, or just ask if you need help. And, remember less than one second of silence at the beginning and about 5 seconds at the end. Be careful of extraneous noise in those periods.
I will save 129 for you, our last open section, but before I can oficially assing it, I need to add you to the LibriVox catalog, and to do that I need to know how you would like to be listed. Many of us just use our real names because this is how we are credited for our work, but you may choose any pseudonym or nickname that you wish.

I know it hasn't been approved, I was just playing around with recording and will probably redo it, but here is my first go at the recording. Is this good enough? Any feedback?

Note: second sentence in appears the word "burthen", which is the archaic spelling of "burden"...I chose to say burden for today's listener.
Thank you,
Kathryn
