Hi Pam,

I am not really certain quite what's happened. I've just listened to section 17 and had a comment, which I'm going to park here for now. If it's not needed, we can ignore it. I'm really sorry but I think my coffee from earlier is wearing off (or has worn off!) and I'm not as sharp as I ought to be.

14.08-14.15, second half last para p. 137, extra word + switched word
…and Lewis XIV. [which] knew well how to attract the disaffected Dutch [heard French] by offers of a separate peace.

Again, oops!
Will fix.
I thought maybe I posted to the wrong thread.
I do that sometimes.

No worries. It's no problem at all. Post stuff in this thread about the book or your general thoughts on life. Call me Louise after this author (actually, she's a good historian, so I'd be flattered). I don't really care care as long as the project reaches the finish line and you enjoy doing it.

Maybe we should both look at this tomorrow and it will become clearer!

Hi DaveC and Erin,

I have substituted a new link to the text because of multiple torn and unreadable pages in the first link.

My best,

Hi Pam,

Sections 17 and 18 are PL OK. She's doing a very good job of unobtrusively reminding readers of which factions were allied without losing the momentum of the narrative.

Hi DaveC,

Would it be possible to remove Section 20?
